Andy Gamble joins Core to Cloud as Advisory Board Chair

Former Currys Group CIO brings nearly 30 years of technology leadership experience to support our growth and strengthen the expertise behind our customer services. We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Gamble as Chair of Core to Cloud’s Advisory Board. Andy joins us following six years as Group CIO and Chief Transformation Officer at Currys plc. He previously held senior technology leadership roles at Dyson, Sony Electronics and Essentra plc, bringing first-hand experience of managing cyber risk, leading large-scale transformation and making technology investment decisions. His appointment strengthens an Advisory Board that includes senior security leaders from some of the UK’s most prominent organisations.

Bringing the customer perspective to our growth

Andy has spent much of his career buying and overseeing the types of cybersecurity services we deliver. He understands the pressures facing technology and security leaders, from keeping pace with threats to explaining cyber risk clearly at board level. As Advisory Board Chair, he will help shape our growth strategy and strengthen the strategic, advisory and commercial foundations supporting our managed security services across the UK enterprise and mid-market sectors. James Cunningham, CEO and Founder of Core to Cloud, said: “Core to Cloud has built its reputation by earning the trust of customers through the cyber services we deliver and the innovative security technologies we bring to them. Andy brings another dimension to that credibility. He has spent nearly three decades in environments where technology, risk and commercial strategy intersect at the highest level. He understands what good security looks like from the inside and brings a depth of experience and perspective that will be hugely valuable as we continue to grow.”

Supporting security leaders with proactive services

Core to Cloud is trusted by CISOs and IT teams at more than 150 organisations. We work as an extension of our customers’ security teams, providing continuous, proactive protection through:

  • Managed Detection and Response
  • Third-Party Cyber Risk Management
  • Security Assurance
  • Dark Web Monitoring and Threat Intelligence
  • Cyber Crisis Simulation

Andy’s appointment supports our ambition to grow while retaining the responsive, practical approach our customers rely on. Andy Gamble, Chair of Core to Cloud’s Advisory Board, said: “I spent the better part of three decades as a buyer of cybersecurity services, and the experience left me with a clear view of where the market falls short. Most organisations understand that cyber risk is real. Far fewer have a security function that can communicate that risk clearly at board level, or a partner that moves fast enough to keep pace with the threat. Core to Cloud is one of a small number of businesses I have come across that genuinely addresses both problems. The team here does not just talk about being proactive – they have built services that prove it. I am proud to chair the Advisory Board, and I am looking forward to helping James and the team scale that model into the definitive challenger to the conventional MSSP.”
